The Premier Health Plan offered by Colonial Insurance (BVI) can be termed the ‘Rolls Royce Plan’ in the insurance business; this is according to the Insurance Company’s Manager, Herman Creque.

He told the Standpoint that Colonial Insurance provides worldwide coverage through networks in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and several Caribbean countries.

According to Creque, the Premier Health Plan is the only health insurance offered by the company but explained that with such an insurance it’s a sure ticket to first class health care.

The Premier Plan, which is a group plan with a minimum of  three members, does not have a ‘termination age’ and has 20 percent of the Territory’s clientele.

“What that means is that once you’re active in the workplace, the plan is available to you. At other insurance companies there is a certain age limit,” Creque pointed out.

The monthly premiums are a little bit more than other insurance companies, but according to the Company’s Manager, the Plan “is worth the money” and caters to the needs of its Customers.

“Here’s an example, our customers can get in the top 11 hospitals in the US without any hassle and all their bills are paid. 100 percent! That’s what is different with our Plan,” revealed Creque. The maternity benefit plan is the most popular in the Premier Plan coverage he added.

He also noted that over the past three years, the Insurance Company has done 10 air evacuations and the Company’s coverage also provides  its customers with accessibility to all doctors and pharmacies throughout the Territory.
