This year's Open Karate Grand Slam was hosted by two amazing Senseis of the Purple Dragon Don Jitsu Ryu System in the beautiful Cayman Islands. Sensei Floyd Baptiste and Sensei Geddis Hislop were successful in having many competitors registered at their tournament from Trinidad, Grenada, St. Lucia, Antigua, Tortola, Jamaica, Brazil, Florida, New York, Boston, Mississippi, Canada and the Cayman Islands. On July 4th and 5th, 2008 the Purple Dragon Tortola BVI team represented the Virgin Islands, flying it’s flag proudly at the Cayman Grand Slam 2008 Open Karate Tournament.
