The Rawlinson & Hunter Anegada Desert Duel takes place on Sunday 27th July with a ferry taking riders, spectators and friends from The Pub in Road Town at 8am.
This years race will feature categories for Expert, Intermediate, Junior & Social riders with a separate race for Cadets.
The race will start and finish at Anegada Reef Hotel, with riders heading out to Cow Wreck beach then Loblolly Beach through the Settlement and back to Anegada reef. Intermediate & junior riders will miss out the section to Loblolly and Social riders will only ride to the Setting Point/Cow Wreck junction before heading back to the settlement and then turning around to head back to the finish.
As there are no hills on Anegada the race will be completely flat however with a mix of Sand, Coral & Paved roads knobbly tires are highly recommended. Social riders will have a short sand section but will mostly be riding on paved roads.
The cadet race will be on a separate course.
Prizes will be awarded for the winners of each category.
Entry fees are $40 which includes Race Entry, Return ferry from Road Town, T Shirt & Lunch. Spectators and Friends are welcome with the cost being $15 for ferry only or $25 for ferry & lunch. So you bring the family for a day out in Anegada for only $15!!!
Ferry will depart from The Pub at 8am sharp and return to Road Town at 5pm.
Online registration will be available from Thursday 17th at www.bvimtbclub.com
