Louise Whiley sprinted to the line in 51mintes, 14. 3 seconds after racing from behind to become the first female and second overall finisher.
There was no surprise that Rasalula Nagarit won the first Ceres Juices 10K Series race last Saturday, but for the accomplished marathon runner, it was a race against the clock after taking the lead within the first 200 meters of the race, which started at the A.O Shirley Recreation Grounds.

Nagarit finished in 33 minutes, 54.51 seconds along a course that he described as pretty simple.

”It was a good race, but still, I didn’t have anybody to push me,” Nagarit said after his impressive performance Saturday which follows a flawless outing during the just concluded Spring 5K Series.

“I was looking for something sub 30, but I did not have anybody to push me, so it’s hard when you’re trying to run out there by yourself,” Nagarit told reporters.

He finished well ahead of second place finisher and first woman overall in the race Clare-Louise Whiley, who sprinted to the line in 51mintes, 14. 3 seconds, after racing from behind.

“There was a field ahead of me and then I felt really strong coming along the back of the High School and coming on to the dual carriageway, and thought yeah, I can do this.

I caught a bunch of people and just put as much distance between them and me. I finished and I was flying, so I was very pleased with today (Saturday). I thought the course was great and it was a great distance,” Whiley stated.
