A number of persons have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery of BVI Communication a gizmo and gadget store - which took place on Monday morning in Purcell Estate, according to a press release from the Police Information Department. Three men entered the establishment just after 10:30am wearing dark clothing and masks and held an employee at gunpoint, taking cash and a number of items. The men then ran toward the housing community in the Purcell Estate. It was reported that one or more of the perpetrators were in possession of a handgun. Meanwhile, the Standpoint arrived shortly after the incident and spoke with the owner, Jeremy Cox, who said none of his employees were injured. And while the store was closed following the robbery it was all back to business on Tuesday. Cox has declined to comment further on the incident. Many persons are believed to have seen the perpetrators entering or exiting the premises, the press release stated. Police are asking these persons to share any information they might have, no matter how small or irrelevant they think that information may be. All information is critical to a successful investigation. Information can be provided through the anonymous hotline at 1-800-744-TIPS or 1-800-744-8477 or by contacting a senior officer at any of the Police stations.
