By the end of the day, the company reported that over 100 BlackBerry Bold smartphones were sold in Cable & Wireless stores and was the result of customers’ anticipation for this unique device.

“We were quite pleased with the over-whelming response in BVI for this new handset by BlackBerry and are delighted to have been the first to have the Bold in our bmobile stores,” said Vance Lewis, Chief Executive Cable & Wireless (BVI) Ltd.

Lewis added that Cable & Wireless continues to live up to it’s brand promises of more choices such as the BlackBerry Bold, the latest technology and more.

“This exceptional smartphone is a big hit with anyone who enjoys a cool feature rich phone,” Lewis stated.

Cable & Wireless stated that it was first to bring BlackBerry to the Caribbean and in August 2008 introduced the first prepaid BlackBerry service enabling their prepaid mobile customers to also enjoy the world of BlackBerry.

The BlackBerry Bold radiates elegance with its lustrous black exterior, satin chrome finished frame and stylish leatherette backplate. With its stunning display, sophisticated user interface and newly designed full-QWERTY keyboard, the eye-catching smartphone is a symbol of both accomplishment and aspiration.
