A Coroner's Inquest into the death of Manuel Nunez commenced on 2nd October 2008 before the Coroner Mrs. Valerie Stephens. A five-member jury is hearing the case. The deceased Nunez', a co-owner of McKelly's Hair Salon, who was 48 years at the time of his death was found dead in his office at Road Town on 25th January 2007 at about 11:00 am. He was found hanging by a rope-like object from the neck. Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Department conducted an investigation into the death and the case was referred to the Coroner and the Director of Public Prosecutions. A total of four witnesses testified on October 2 and the Inquest was adjourned to 7th October 2008 for continuation. The evidence is being led by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. |
