Familiar faces are continuing to dominate the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College/Highland Spring Race Series on both the Tortola and Virgin Gorda legs of the event—as Maxford Pipe and Lavern Fahie have been doing on the sister island, so has Steve Asson been doing at Paraquita Bay.

The last race on Tortola, held on October 11 at the College’s Paraquita Bay Campus, saw Asson clocking 11 minutes 29.15 seconds as he topped  the two-miler, an improvement of about three seconds from his winning time in the first meet on September 27.

In the female category, Kay Reddy, Philomena Robertson and Adele Perrot took first, second and third places. Shamouri Robinson and K’Zea Weeks ran away with the top spots in the One-Mile Under-9 Category for the boys and girls respectively.

The next race will be on Tortola on Saturday, October 25 starting at 7:00 a.m., with registration at 6:30 a.m. Main sponsor for the HLSCC race series continues to be Highland Spring Mineral Water, distributed by Tico BVI.
