The Althea Scatliffe Primary celebrates 30 years since the school was founded. Celebrations started on October 8 with the students, teachers, principals and some parents assembling at the spot where the school was originally erected, which is close to the tent at the Elmore Stoutt High School.  The school was later burnt down and since then the ASPS has been housed at its present location in Johns Hole. During the 2008-2009 school year, the ASPS will be hosting a number of events in celebration of this special occasion.
