Curried goat, Indian style  

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 1 hour

 

INGREDIENTS

1 Tbsps. GRACE VEGETABLE OIL

2 kg. goat meat

1 tsp. black pepper

2 tsp. salt

4 cloves garlic

1 large onion

3 stalks escallion

2 Tbs. indian currry powder

1 whole hot pepper

¼ tsp. gera

¼ tsp. matie

6 cups boiling water

METHOD

 

Chop garlic, onion and escallion and set aside.

Cut goat meat in bite size pieces then wash and drain immediately.

Season the meat with black pepper, salt, indian curry powder and the chopped seasonings.

Place the dutch pot on the open fire and pour in the Grace Vegetable Oil, then allow it to get very hot. Add the matie, gera and the chopped garlic and allow to burn.

Add the seasoned goat meat, stir then cover and leave to simmer for about fifteen minutes.

Add the boiling water, stir well, cover and leave to simmer until cooked.

Serve with boiled rice.
