| Plans for H.L. Stoutt birthday celebrations underway |

The celebration will begin with a parade starting at 9:00 a.m. from the House of Assembly along Fishlock Road and onto Waterfront Drive and then to the Palm Grove Park where a programme featuring various guest speakers, schools, HLSCC, and the H.L. Stoutt Commemorative Choir, among others, will present drama and song in remembrance of H. Lavity Stoutt. According to H.L. Stoutt Commemorative Committee Member, Gwendolyn Rubaine, this year the committees aim is to raise awareness and help to preserve the legacy of the late Chief Minister, H. Lavity Stoutt. H. Lavity Stoutt became the Territorys first Chief Minister in 1967. He died in office on May 10, 1995 and at the time was the Territorys longest serving legislator.
