Delta Petroleum introduces a Superior grade of High Octane, high performance gasoline under the brand-name X Power (extra Power) at the launch of the product held on Friday, October 23. The X which symbolizes the crossing of increasing power and fuel efficiency, a combination that best suits the Virgin Islands’ mountainous terrain. Customers can enjoy the best of both worlds; extra power and fuel efficiency. The company’s Regional General Manager Bevis Sylvester, said that in these harsh economical times their customers should get the best fuel economy and drive a clean car which means lower emission, less pollution and less impact on global warming. “Good product begins at the source, this is why Delta Petroleum sources its product from Hovensa in St Croix, which is a US based refinery, to ensure that they confirm to the highest quality and environmental standards. This refinery is the third largest refinery in the world. No other refinery in this region that has the capacity to produce this superior quality product. This product can be tested by any third party and it is guaranteed that the spec will be in compliance with the certificate of quality,” Sylvester noted. Prior to the product’s launching Delta changed their tanks to ensure quality assurance which is quality control, one of Delta’s main priorities. Excellent customer service and high product quality always distinguish Delta from their competitors. According to Sylvester, the prices will remain the same while the X power product will be carried by all Delta Service Stations and Huntums Ghut Service Station. The slogan that brands the product is “Power under your heel, while you’re on wheels” The large turn-out during the launch was filled with anxious customers who took advantage of the reduce prices on products throughout the day.
