| National Softball team heads to qualifier championship |

Led by coaches Arnold Lettsome, Terry Chinnery and Rufus Malone, the National Men’s Softball Team will be vying for a spot in the top eight in the XV Men's Qualifier Central American & Caribbean Championship in Columbia from February 10 through February 21. The team comprise of Allen Smith, Neville Smith, Roy Hill, Jaimi Potter, Dariel Robinson, Byron Parsons, Sheldon John, Rhodni Skelton, Siv Scatliffe, Kye Rymer, Nateshan Thomas, Dwight Brookes, Alfred Maduro, George Burrow, Byron Hodge, Derwin Scatliffe, Jakhoi Percival. Umpire Glenford “Chappy” Maduro will also accompany the team. Fifteen countries are taking part in the qualifying championship of which only eight, including host Puerto Rico will be represented at the XXI Central Americans and Caribbean games in Mayaguez 2010 in Puerto Rico. The countries taking part in the qualifying championship are as follows: Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Aruba, El Salvador, Virgin Island (USA) and Panama falls in section 1 and, Venezuela, Cuba, Columbia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras and Virgin Islans (UK) falls in section 2.
